Oklahoma banshee
I've got a 2001 yamaha banshee. Was riding a few weeks ago about an hour in I got a random bog while at full throttle. I slowed down bike idle fine looked around for a few mins. Started back off bog at half throttle to full throttle stopped a second time thought a heard a slight grinding sound not sure with the loud loose kick starter. had to keep riding due to traffic. Stopped a third time dies as I come to a stop. Try to kick start it backfires and will not start I'm not sure where to start. got new spark plugs I do have spark to both plugs made sure of that. I did try to bump start it. It will try to idle but dies and has a slight backfire. Does kinda seem like it lost some compression not as hard to kick it over. I did put my finger over the spark plug holes and it pushed my finger off while moving the kickstarter. I'm gonna do a compression test is there anything else I can check? Keno
Probably lean seized. Take the head off and look. If this is the case, you are going to want to figure out why it happened. Go through carbs, check jetting, clean petcock, ect.
