Rhysmc Posted December 29, 2018 Report Posted December 29, 2018 hey guys new guy here need some info on what year banshee I have I know it’s the 10th digit already but here the thing there only 9 digits it’s similar to an engine number anyone ever come across this? Maybe a replacement frame? Idk when I bought it I got told it was a 98 but trying to make sure this is what the frame number looks like example ( *3gg-123456*) any help appreciated thanks Quote
97Screamer Posted December 29, 2018 Report Posted December 29, 2018 I've never heard of such a thing. Does it look factory stamped or like someone added it? Definitely a 1998 should have a normal 17 character VIN. I have a 95 and two 97 and had a 2001, all had normal VINs. Quote
Rhysmc Posted December 29, 2018 Author Report Posted December 29, 2018 It looks official machined on there I just don’t understand why it has digits the way it is Quote
JUSTWANNARACE Posted December 29, 2018 Report Posted December 29, 2018 Are you looking at the frame or the cases? The FRAME vin is on the lower frame rail on the left side underneath the stator. Quote
Rhysmc Posted December 29, 2018 Author Report Posted December 29, 2018 Yes I’m lookin at the frame numbers below the shifter on the frame Quote
Schweet97Z Posted December 30, 2018 Report Posted December 30, 2018 Take a picture. Could it be a factory part number for a replacement frame and they might have put a vin plate on it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
