Banshee508
Hi yes i was thinking on putting some of his onto my shee but was wondering the best way to do it https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323206054387 thanks for any help
ZillaFreak
Looking at the ad, says it runs on 90-130VAC. This sounds like it is going a house outlet. A banshee puts our around 9-13VAC, a tenth of the ratings. If you are looking at how to run them, clear zip ties.
Banshee508
It say u need a inverter to run in a car so the inverter is to switch from dc to ac right So it should kinda work with the 9-14v ac that the shee puts out? The electrical part is not my strong suit if you know what i mean Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ZillaFreak
The listing is just shit. It says power supply is 12VDC. Then says voltage 90-130VAC. Find out from them what they actually work on.
Keno
El wire uses high frequency (like 2000 to 5000 hz) ac to illuminate. There are inverters that can power those off 2 AA batteries. Just look for a 12v inverter for el wire.
Banshee508
Ok will do an if they say 12v dc then i just use the inverter to switch from. Ac-dc an how it would i hook it up to a power wire or thanks Edited November 29, 2018 by Banshee508
Keno
I just checked the listing. It comes with a 12v inverter. Just connect that to your dc conversion on the banshee. The inverter will step it up to the correct voltage and frequency.
ZillaFreak
Just saw the invertor, I was thinking rectifier. An invertor takes DC and converts it to AC. Might mean the voltages is 12VDC and converts it to 90-130VAC. So on a banshee, you would need a rectifier to convert the banshee's 12VAC to 12VDC then the invertor converts it back to AC. Ok so i would need 12v rectifier an then the supplied inverter that comes with the kit an hook it up to a power source and it should work
