2 jugs are better than one
Hey eveyone first time posting in a long time. I Picked up a banshee last week and i have a concern like most..I do not wanna run to lean or rich and damage the motor. Letâs say next summer I have it out and itâs 70 degrees outside and itâs running âperfectâ at what air temp should I be expecting to adjust the air screw and at what temp should I be worrying about pilot jets, mains and needles. I know itâs a topic beat up and down but nothing really to the exact question I just asked. Please spell it out for me haha đ...I have owned a banshee in the past years for a short time but I decided soon after selling it I would one day buy another one and make it my forever banshee and last week I found her. Itâs snowing here in the U.P. Now so I did get one very short ride in about 45* weather just around my yard and it did run good, very crisp power! But itâs in my garage and Iâm going to be pulling parts for painting and pipes for polishing. Any info will be greatly appreciated fellas!
ClaudeMachining
Welcome back. IMHO, If its running good at 70F, dont touch anything. He will be fatter at 90F so no big deal.  If you're going to ride it in very cold condition, it can be too lean, just put a couple numbers up on the main and work from there, maybe a 1/2 on the air screw... You have to listen/feel the engine. Envoyé de mon SM-G965W en utilisant Tapatalk

Ayesully810
Hello, so if you get your pilot where its needs to be in 70 degree weather where the air screw ends up being around 1 turn-1.5 turns out, once its gets colder, you shouldnt have to adjust your pilot size, just screw your air screw in a half turn and you should be good. BUT lets say you were only at half a turn out in 70 degree weather, your prolly going to need to bump it up come crisp fall riding like now (im assuming your in MI) if your main jet is really rich in 70 degree weather you would be good now, but if you are more on the lean side of things in 70 degree weather, then going up 1-2 sizes come 40 degree weather is a good idea.
