ScreaminShee01
Im bored with my stock shee, and im ready for a major power increase. Im debating between a vitos 404 big bore kit, or a 4mm stroker motor, bored .040 over. Both setups would be accompianed by porting, pipes, after market clutch and either bored carbs or 34mm carbs, and a cool head running 20 cc domes. How big of a power increase vs. price do you think i could get out of these choices? What would you choose? I'm really in a perdicament and we start this week. So any tips/comments are greatly appreciated! -Alex
frocashmoney24
your gonna have crazy power for your money, way diffrent then how you have it set up, and make it a stroker!
raxen
Best power for price is nitrous, hands down. Second best is a small stroker kit.
ScreaminShee01
could i do both the 404 and the 4mm stroker, with a hinson clutch and 34mm carbs? wuld this be suffiecient and reliable or should i just stroke and bore .030 or .040 over and call it done with hinson and carbs. Leadfoot350
dont bore over anytime because you are not even going to make 1 hp and are wasting your over bores.
frocashmoney24
yea i agree, only bore it if you have to, any extra boring will just take down the life of your cylinders without giving you any power
raxen
You need to realize that this will be far from economical to build a stroker, it will be well over a grand. Even with what you were describing. Tell us a little about your setup and what you will be doing with it in order for us to see what motor mod would provide you with the best kick in the pants for the price. PassionRE
+4 long rod stroker ported to match with 34 Keihins and pipes Huge bang for your buck. More power than most people even want...Jim
ScreaminShee01
yep we decided on a 370 stroker motor with 34 mm keihns. ...oh to the guys about boring.. when my piston skirt broke it scarred my cylinder and its not pretty. so im boring that much cuz i have to. were gonna run blaster pistons in it as well. ill post pics after its all done. and im gonna put a new clutch in while i have it open anyways cuz i figure with that much hp, itll go in one ride.... so good good, we start friday! raxen
You should bottle that beast too. Just for laughs and grins. It really feels good to have that extra 35HP for a few seconds.
2004LEBanshee
Why do you use blaster pistons. Lighter?
Big Mike NY
Why do you use blaster pistons. Lighter? Shorter skirt, enables the use of a big stroker crank, I think.
