You need the cylinders worked to get the port timing optimized for the extra stroke, domes cut to use stock cylinders and you won't be able to reuse the stock 64mm bores for long. just get ahold of a site sponsor (I have been plugging driveline a LOT lately, this is the route i am taking on my bike next season) and have a REAL conversation as far as real use and expectations. You will be very happy with the results.
Banshee508
Ok thanks i will not get those an i am tight on money so cant spend it all at once to have it done i have to accumulate slowly and why wont i be-able to use the 64mm bores for long
Toybreaker
If the bike has any hours at all, the bores probably are out of round and tapered. 2 strokes are actually pretty forgiving with fresh rings on worn out bores, for a redneck repair it works. But it is a grenade waiting to go off. ( i am not saying it is an acceptable repair, just saying it can work) besides, are you sure your bike is on the factory bore? sleeper06
My advice is wait till you have the money to do everything at once internal wise. There is a ton of little things that make a reliable build. Opening up something that’s never been touched is a domino effect waiting to happen. The key part is knowing what to look for wear wise on the internal components, could make or break the budget. Get it out of your head thinking your gonna piece it together or that’s what it will be” a piece “! Remember you can go broke saving money .

kawa110
Cost more rebuilding a “grenaded engine” then one that is worn.....

sleeper06
Do a compression test and a pressure test and report back
sleeper06
Being that it’s stock these tests can give a Lil insight into the condition of the top end and engine seas/gasket
kawa110
“Grenading” a engine ensures you will not want to use most of the internal components let alone the cases and jugs. If you don’t care about any of that....Keep “ripping” ur engine and start saving to build a complete new engine, used clean caseswpuld be good start.
