I dont even try to ride in the snow anymore. Last time I rode was December 1st(first day of buck season) and im jonesin' to go for a ride. My engine is torn down, I do my "winter maintence" this time of the year, get her ready for next spring. I did my winter maintence last year, and I didnt have any mechanical problems all spring\summer\fall, except for the time I lost my rear brake caliper ;):(

<_< Since we can't ride YET! it's killin me too! can we all agree to agree on a spot? i have never been down that way so maybe someone can list a few different spots and we can all have a little democratic vote lol some pics of riding places we can go would be even better but i'm not gonna ask for too much! a nice poll would be a good way to kill some time while the snow melts

If meat is up for it, we could always do the whole coalfest thing (whats it called) that we've been wanting to have forever now.

If I remember correctly their'd be a place that we could camp in the strippins? Maybe not anymore, I dont know. Theres gotta be a place we can camp close enough by though that we could just load up in the morning and go ride. Make a good weekend out of it.

I know the strippins is a big area that has lots of trails and such and it'd be a good time. I think its kinda early to set a date time up, if we do camp because who knows when winter is truly going to let up. We're gonna have to set it up that if its gonna rain through the weekend that we have a raindate for the next weekend or such. It'd be nice if it rained until thursday, and then let up. I just dont want to get done riding, and then it get cold....and have to camp like that.

i guess camping would be a good idea if you wanted to stay the whole weekend, just camp out in the silts overnight and just get up and go riding the next day. I just have to say i hate this damn snow! i havent been our riding in almost 3 weeks and now its gonna be even longer with the 6-8 more inches were gonna get here!

as far as camping i had a kinda neat idea, we camp out on top of the black bitch...

advantages would make a decent camp sight great view

but then disadvantages... ppl could be climbin at night and runto stuff, windy up there at times, not enough room depending on how many people..

I'll have to ask around and find out if any one i know knows of any place... but where ever it is wouldent you have to worry about coal cops if its in the silts?

there arent any coal cops around here me and my friends have been going on camping trips for years out in the silt fields. the only place that there are "coal cops" here is people from the railroad authority that sometimes patrol the railroad tracks in the summer looking for quads riders or people that arent even on quads and giving out fines to them for trespassing. but i havent seen any of that in over a year now. Where is the black bitch? is it in freeeland? i heard it is real big ive never seen it.

ok already been thru the process of trying to host pics off geocites, and i dident get an image station account yet so I'm just guna thow a few on a web site and youll have to look there/here

First theres my friend kenny climbin up sharpie(s)

Then shane tony and kenny at the bottem of sharpies with bitch in the back ground

steep side, truck path, and a front view of back side, where the trees are theres about a 10 ft drop down so you cant realy judge the height of the bitch in the picture, and you cant see part of it from the trees any way.

And last theres what i think is a pretty good pic of sharpies taken from the top of bitch.

these were from like july, now theres like a foot of snow on every thing

any one recognize these? what do u think about them for a riding spot?

are those the main hills in the area? The big hills? They look pretty small. The one place I go riding that your not really supposed to right near jim Thorpe theres hills piled that are about twice as long. I've been other places too (the one place that got closed by 8bees or however you say it). How big is that riding spot, do the trails interconnect into other coal spots?

the peak is a really kool place up here in HAZ. i have pics but i dont know how to post them. Its really huge with alot of hills and there are alot of other places just about as far as you can see that you can ride on. I do remember seeing these posters on trails that said "8bees" proprety or something like that, but that was awhile ago. We have alot of time to plan this maybe one weekend we could get together in Haz. then freeland or where ever the hell!!!
