christoph.tamz
So my shee got back from service and they can not get the carbs to idle without the main cable. The cable is new and the adjuster. But the other 2 that go to the carbs won't seat into the carb slide. Almost like the cables are to short. Any ideas Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

christoph.tamz
what do you mean without the "main cable" ? what carbs do you have and what cable? It only adjusts by using the adjuster on the throttle. Not by the carbs at all. Pwk airstrikers 38mm and factory cables with new adjuster put In by a dealerSent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

JUSTWANNARACE
An OEM cable should work fine. But motion pro cable sometimes will not. I have got some motion pro cables that are about 1/4" shorter than stock OEM. You need to slack all adjustments for the cable, carb tops, thumb throttle ect and start from their. Problem with setting idle off the cable is if not routed perfect when you turn the bars it will pick up rpm

The throttle housing on the handle bars.JUSTWANNARACE: That's exactly what happens. Rpms pick up and to me that's dangerous. JUSTWANNARACE
Is it a true OEM cable or is it aftermarket?
christoph.tamz
True from Yamaha. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
JUSTWANNARACE
Then you need to slack all adjustments and work from there i.e. carb cap adjusters, thumb throttle adjustment, make sure the cables are connected in the carb correctly. Also make sure your cable is routed correctly
