bigboybanshee
First of all they will not see my business again if they go off the production line.... That's ridiculous. So you think that Yamaha, the people who make the best race quad, CAN'T make another one??? It's like saying Chevy can't make a faster Vette...or saying Sony can't make a better Playstation...I guess you'll end up with a Polaris. Nighty
The word here in Europe is that ALL 2 strokes will be FORBIDDEN in 2005. No more new 2strokes, only second hand 2 strokes. Guess i will have to move to us soon and haul glamis with some of you guys If the 2 strokes go i will definatly stop quadting.
BansheeBrian
Wahts this FORBIDDEN shit all about?? If your riding your shee after 05 you can get pinched?? Thats crap.I hope that refers to new sales and not use. Good point Sandstar! stop sales tomorrow and the depreciation will cease. The HQ should be full of chatter in 2006! sandfool
you guys are funny the 2 stroke ban is federally mandated, not the decision of yamaha.this means they will sell more of the other models.the new 450 runs very good.if you havent ridden one you should give it a try.it is a nice bike. i hope that the ban will maintain the value of my shee and i plan on keepin it in stock form as it is the L.E. 03 model........but damn i really want to cut the plastics maybe someday i'll pass it to my son,in stock appearance kinda like an collectible musclecar i think the aftermarket will continue to support the banshee, theres a ton of them out there and they respond to mods better than anything else. SANDSTAR
Let it happen. No four stroke will ever replace the Banshee. If they do stop making two strokes, we all win. We already have ours. Plenty of aftermarket stuff to keep us running FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you think someone with a mint post production ATV is gonna be sad? My buddy has a honda 250 that people have offered 10,000 for and it isn'nt modded at all, completely stock.
I2fast4U
ok i havent read everyone elses post so i might say a few things that some of the other guys have already said so here goes i think that the banshee should stay in production because it is a it has lasted some many years unlike the other 2 stroke quads and is the most fun and best sound and just one of the best alround quads out there when u buy one u know that u are getting a quality machine u know this because they have been around so long id they were not a qualty bike they would have been out of production in the early 90s. and that is just some of the reasons that they should stay out of the many there are. 2004LEBanshee
Were like the people from the 60's and 70's before the muscle car was pushed out. Think about it, 15 years from now young people who were cheated from the greatest atv ever will see us riding our shee's wondering what is it like to ride a 2 stroke. Eveyone who sees us drive by will turn there heads because it is a legend that they might have just seen for the first time. It might be a bike that they have only herd of but never seen and one day the'll hear this odd noise and one of us will pull up then take off. Then the'll sit there with a couple of their friends on there bore old 4 stroke wishing they had the chance to ride when 2 strokes were allowed. I might be great
axle
well I think its going to happen it's just a matter of time. and what sucks is theres nothing that any of use or yamaha can do about it but except it. As far as not buying from yamaha if they let it happen that is bullshit and if thats the way you feel maybe you should be riding a 400EX. I own two banshees that I would not have if yamaha had tucked its tail like the other manufactures did in the late 80's. I mean how many of your bike are newer than an '89 think about it. I also just bought a new YFZ450 and im sure when my wife gets a chance to ride it in the dunes she'll want one as well. Yamaha has my respect and my business and allways will.
