Chaz0909
Hellooo, fairly new to this page, Im almost at the end of my shee build, iv fitted a new road legal wiring loom a.c. to dc conversion with the battery (uk road safety rules bullshit) also kept old wiring loom In, it's all connected and what not, I tried getting flywheel off and turns out person before me has fucked the thread in flywheel so cant use flywheel puller, so I thought I'd connect it all up, connected rectifier/regulator, wired to battery etc, but I haven't yet to put floating ground wire in to stator, when I turned it all on its seems okay and the battery seems to be charging?? Now is this what it supposed to do or should I still attempt to take flywheel off and fit floating ground? Unless person before me started this and the 2 yellow wires coming off stator have been fiddled with already??? No clue.Been pulling my hair out about what to do, any help is appreciated cheers guys
BlackandYellowBanshee
You were threading the puller in reverse thread, correct? If you haven’t floated the ground... yes it will need to be done to charge the battery. Check the harness Near the boot for any splices. You should be able to tell because a stock stator will not have any splices in the wiring harness. I don’t know why anyone would do a dc conversion if they didn’t already have a battery, so I doubt it’s already been done. You may have to weld your puller to the flywheel to keep the puller in and pull it that way. Or use a jaw puller. Either way you get it off... you will need to buy a new flywheel. This is the first a.c. to dc conversions I have done... along side a whole.new wiring harness and believe me, I am struggling
