kawa110
With Riding that motor on the street possibly to get you to work. Reliability should be your biggest concern. Welding the crank shouldn’t even be a question when it comes to reliability. Sending the motor to a builder and having it tuned properly after will give you more assurance of reliability then taking motor to a local shop and asking questions here. I understand building it yourself to enjoy the project(that’s what I’m doing, not a street build) But if you need to depend on the machine to get you to work.... specialblend07
Shipping a motor is $100. Take it from that shop and send it to someone who knows something.
fckawhipboughtabanshee
Yeah it was a reliability issue before I would drive that thing for miles on the street to work and everything , literally an everyday driver for anything lol this guy said there not meant for it at all that it puts a lot of strain on that banshee basically when putting all that traction it puts everything to the test he said which makes sense but I was hoping there was still some sort of set up for a street banshee to make it that much more reliable . Lol I don't drive it around all crazy anymore I have another project a 2003 mustang SN-95 ( don't judge lol was a killer deal ) but now basically jus miss driving the shee on the street so still want it reliable for good Long drives but I'll be takin it to competition mountain in rocky point June so I wanted something that put down power too. Ill be doin some research on here seeing who my best bet looks like on sending the motor out , he put it in my head that it was sketch on send out the motor but till than if you guys have any recommendations on the sponsors here the sooner the better so i can get that motor back and sent out asap, thanks guys

Ayesully810
I will say this. The only way to really learn this stuff is a HANDS ON APPROACH. Do it your self. I remember in 2016 when i got back in the bashee game after a 6 year hiatus, i was afraid to do anything myself i thought if i farted on the seat it would break. I dont know everything by any means but Ive went from not being able to properly install a new set of pipes to building 3 bikes from the ground up motor and all in the last 2 years thanks to this site and the willingness to do it myself, (as well as some help from my sponsor of choice driveline performance) that just my 2 cents if you wanna save some money and invest in some knowledge bc 100 to sync some carbs makes my eyes rain. pick a sponsor to do the bore and buy your parts and then you do the assembly. just my input Edited April 11, 2018 by Ayesully810

fckawhipboughtabanshee
Almost done with the bike . All that's left are the carbs now the guy is saying that they gotta be rebuilt to find out what jets and all that they have he said 90 each ($180 both ) I figured why not get bigger carbs for that amount of money any input would greatly appreciate ,this guy already has carbs and money just tryna find out a solution before he starts on them maybe I can use that money toward new ones
