brock42
I've gone back and tried all 3 pilots all with the same result bog off idle which gets better when I screw the air needle almost all the way in.
brock42
Acting as if it's starving for fuel.
hoppedupandcutdown
Not uncommon to have the pilot passages in the carb bodies gunked up with varnish.
brock42
I've blown all that out several times. Could a electrical issue be causing this.
locogato11283
No. If it changes with an air screw adjustment then it’s still in the jetting.
brock42
I've tried 25 27.5 and 30 pilots with all the same result needs choke to crank even when warm. And it bogs no matter what needle I have in except with the needle almost seated.

Might need to soak in some GOOD carb cleaner first. An ultrasonic cleaner would be ideal.

locogato11283
I had an issue with my YFZ carb two months ago.. Fucking thing would not start. I took the carb out, blew everything out, etc.. Come to find out, there was something in the pilot circuit. Air would go around it, but not push it out. Do you have good plugs in it? Spark is good? brock42
Yes I put brand new plugs in this morning before starting to mess with it. I'll pull the carbs tomorrow and clean them good and report back. I appreciate all the help it's got me stumped.
locogato11283
You may need to physically run something through the pilot circuits to make sure they're clear.
brock42
the 27.5 jets are. Brand new but I haven't ran anything through the actual circuit itself.

Yea, we're talking about the carb bodies themselves. It wouldn't hurt to at least check the jets too. The holes are tiny. It doesn't take shit to plug them. brock42
That could be it. It sounds like it's barely getting fuel on the idle circuit and when I screw the screw in it cuts most of the air flow off causing it to run on what Lil bit I am getting then when I get on the throttle it gets off the idle circuit on the needle and runs good. So maybe that'll get me going tomorrow.
