PlaynSand Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 I recently purchased a set of LRD RFX non-adjustable pipes for my new banshee. They are a little pricey but did come with complete jet kit. First time out was at the sand dunes with paddle tires. First noticed bottom end is quite a bit weaker than stock pipes. But mid range and top end is very strong. Smooth hard pull with no peaks ,upper mid range and top end seems to be the best . Over all great power band ,easy to ride . I only have experience with FMF fatties and CPi's before these. In my opinion these make alot more power than the fatties and much smoother power and way better topend. As for the CPi's the LRD's have the same smooth power band and on a stock ported machine ,have better mid range and about the same top. As for drag race comparison, my buddy has a piped and unlidded YFZ 450 with extreme paddles . When my machine was stock he would beat me bad by 10 bike lengths in a approx. 150 yd. race. With the new pipes , proflow and K&N , other wise totally stock ,with skate II tires. in 3 out 3 races I won by about 2 or 3 lengths. So overall I am very happy with my new pipes. Quote
