Seemed like a really nice guy. Thank you for your help PassionRE!!! he is willing to help us out Lefty and i think that matters alot, im not a 2 cycle guru but have been riding since 1965 and jim gave me what i wanted not what he wanted to build or some generic motor that everyone has, im real happy with it and like david at Noss his biz will do good, the same practices these guys have, has kept me in business for 22 years and thats what i was looking for great comunication, great service and great results not alot of engine builders have that as we have both seen with the horror stories weve read...... Screamin_Banshee
Very, very well put Duece!! I cant comment on his work just yet, as my cylinders havent made it home, but I can say this, your wording about his customer service couldnt be more true!! Jim has answered all my calls, and emails in no time- I like that in a builder. He asked me questions about what I want to do w/ my bike, which is also a HUGE plus in my book! I will be testing out some 350 12 port cylinders on my alky drag bike in the early spring- Boy I cant wait!!!
Justintoxicated
Yea I have his 12 port too although not a stroker like you have Its gerat, TONS of power! I don't have the larger carbs yet either, how much bottem end did you lose with the 34s? Im looking for something that will make this engine easier to ride through the dunes than it is with my stock carbs. I have to be on the pipe alot more right now, but its because my carbs are way too small. But on the flats the shee is much much faster than before even with the stock carbs! I would definately recomend his work. I have some pics also, if your interested in sending your cylinders to Jim you can drop me a PM and i "might" send them to ya. I went up 2 teeth on the front and the bike still wants to wheelie more than it did with the 13 tooth. Im thinking I might need an extended swing arm in the future I dunno how you do it with a minus 2, Im already leaning way forward, even with 2 people on the shee leaning forward it still feels like wants to wheelie when it hits (but im too careful to allow too much of that with someone on the back) Customer Service is TOP notch, I can't even imagine better possible service! Im thinking I might need an extended swing arm in the future I dunno how you do it with a minus 2 the 34's give his port the fuel it needs to accelerate like it does, i gained so much low end......i was looking for that lift, your riding in sand im talking about the fucker running like my CR-500 on a MX track, if your nose dives into every rut and bump you not only get the living shit kicked out of you, you go slow, when i gas this bitch it lifts right up after that it's your suspension, my elkas soak it up, i can lean back pinn it in third and stand a 45 degree wheelie for 40 feet just like my 2 wheeler, the -2 just allows me to hook and the geomitry is closer to what it should be for track riding, stocks great for open riding and of course extend it for dunes or pavment jim knew i wanted nothing but low end 10,000 rpm does me no good.... from idle to 8 g's im just a fuckin ghost, the 34's pour fuel into this bitch and it burns it and goes, fuckin jim even ball parked my jetting, my plug chops look great, a buddy with a mission stroker rode it and came back smiling ear to ear, said it would flat out smoke his bike.......when i go to dumont for the HQ party ill run a +2 extension so i can manage it in the dunes, or maybe ill just take Stan and go explore the open desert, or just leave it on my truck and drink beer all day.....you should come out Justin its gonna be fun......
