hotrod9193
You need to do a plug chop. It sucks wasting money on plugs but it's well worth it in the long run. Look up how to do a plug chop. Do one and let us know. Also if you have the stuff to do so do a compression test and a leak down test Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk
2004LEBanshee
Im not understanding how it revs high but not hitting a powerband. Did you just assemble this? What electrical system you running and is your pickup gaped right?
jetfighter120
I had a shop build it its the stock eletrical with tors taken off so i dont know what that gap is like, do you need to remove the fly wheel??Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
salmon_slayer06
You want the gap as close as possible without touching the raised tabs on flywheel. Check grounds. After a long ride I check plugs once cooled down some, I use that electrical contact cleaner and spray out plug boots as black residue builds up, and twist boots on just a little tighter to assure good connection. Could it possibly be a faulty cdi? Try getting a used one for backup anyway. Something wrong with reeds?
jetfighter120
The gap is good Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
gusto
If it's not the carbs try cutting back your plug wires next. Then try swapping out your cdi and ohm your stator. SouthTexasBanshee YouTube page goes through the testing.

gusto
i don't know anything about those cylinders. You should check for an air leak, so leakdown test your engine. You can check if your gas lines and tank filter is clogged. you can ohm out your electrical. also look at the jetting thread on this forum, see who's running a set up close to yours and try what jetting they're using. that should keep you busy for the weekend
