boarder8135
Really only go to sand areas when riding and wanting to do a "wet black" or very glossy look to frame. Has anyone else done this and how does it hold up to the sand? I hear with some people it starts to discolor since it almost gets sandblasted when riding or when the wind blows bad. The little stuff I don't mind getting redone but the frame is something I want to look good and last for a while without discoloring. Also anyone have pics of a textured black frame on theirs? I was told this looks good and lasts even better! Thanks
ZillaFreak
I have heard this too. I didn't ride sand enough to know, but a good powdercoat with a a clear might hold up.
ginger
it will prolly hold up well, but it wont stay glossy, the sand will turn it eventually into a matte black.
boarder8135
so ended up dropping the stuff off today and went with a less textured than a BK147 powdercoat. Looks pretty cool in the sun and was told that stuff is really durable plus I think it will have my white powder stand out a little more can post pics when I get it all back in about a week if anyone is interested Edited October 2, 2017 by boarder8135
Canadianshee
Much darker in person. Colour is a chrome base with black and clear. Holding up well with different types of terrine.Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk

Canadianshee
It is called silver vein but shop used black instead. The clear coat makes it smooth but you can see the texture. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk

jlevasseur
yep, Gloss wet black starts to dul. The clear second stage they spray starts to lose its shine. I heard you can wax and buff it to bring it back but ive never done it.
