hey guys so I been thinking about ways to wake up my banshee a little more lately. currently only have t5's foam filter and jetting done. everything else motor wise is stock, pistons, crank, head all stock spec. mind you it runs pretty good but the previous owner knew nothing didn't take care of it and it had a vacuum leak and jetting was wayyyy off. sucks because it has a fresh rebuild top to bottom but because of how he treated it there probably isn't to much life left but I brought it back to life tuned it up and its running pretty well. what I have in mind it get a timing plate and advance it plus 4 throwing vforces on it and a cool head with 21-22 cc domes and maybe jetting it a little on the fatter side. what do you guys think? I'm not really trying to save this motor as I have plans on completely overhauling it when it goes and those parts can go on my next build so they won't be wasted

yes I'm planning on a 4 mil after this engine gives up. not sure on stock jugs or if I'll do a cub depends on what kinda money I have to spend at the time. as of now I'm just looking to wake it up with a few more bolt ons

but if I get my stock head milled for what I want now won't it be useless to use in the future with my future build? when this engine gets tired or goes I'm planning on tearing it completely down and runnung a 4 mil with stock cylinders. in that case wouldn't the better investment be the cool head?

You can run 21cc domes at sea level on pump gas. I had 151psi at 146'asl.

I'd go with bolt ons that you can use with what you plan on it being later down the road. Aftermarket head, reeds, timing plate, SUSPENSION, NERFS.

My issue with the crank is this:

I'm not splitting cases and reusing a stock stroke crank. Im not doing a spacer plate build. Im not leaving the trans stock either. May as well build a good clutch while you're in there.

Just build a ported 4mil up front.
