"new" banshee revving high and hard to start

Good to know thanks. Everything arrives in the mail tomorrow, except the manual.. Go figure lol After kicking it over for a friend today, they were able to observe lots of smoke from the left pipe and hardly any from the right so I think a carb is stuck open. I've got a couple really dumb questions remaining but I'm hoping the kit and manual will answer them. If not I'll send them this way, along with pics as my current banshee vocab level is still at "the stuff that does that thing" level of specific.

Should have done this sooner. Thanks to all the good advice, I was able to work through the issue and get her running great. I believe the issue to be a series of things. I had a significant air leak at the reed cage so I replaced the gaskets and replaced clearly worn reeds while I was in there. I did the tors delete myself with a dewalt drill and nailed it. The broom stick in the carb advice was INVALUABLE!! The drill and tap went flawless but if not for the wooden broom stick, I would have damaged the carb for sure. Upon reassembly, I noticed there was never a choke tube connecting the 2 carbs so I made one from an autozone heater hose. Set my air and idle screws where I read I should start and it fired on the 2nd kick. I did a carb sync with the carb sync tool suggested to me and only had to make one minor adjustment to the right carb before I had a clean, crisp idle. Thanks to the good people here, shee rips and I have gotten many compliments on how shee sounds.
