‘97SheeMan
So I bought some k&n clamp on pod filters because I had a modified airbox that the old owner had and I decided to turn it into a dune bike so I just started my build by buying some k&n pod filters and after putting them on and revving the bike a couple of times I started to here this weird type of "EWOP" noise when the rpms go lower after I rev the shee up. You can hear it better when the volumes all the way up and you have close ish to your ear, I'm using 30mm oko Carbs, I'm ported to 375cc and have fmf pipes and k&n clamp on air filters. This is my first banshee and 2 stroke so bare with me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ginger
im just curious how porting makes you have 375CC?
sleeper06
What did air box set up look like, I would guess your lean now. More air you get a hollow lean pocket . Depending on how the air box set up was I would not ring its neck till you jetted it accordingly

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk My point was when the bike is sitting trans oil is static as the cylinders/crank and trans are two different sealed systems. The oil in the trans doesn't provide lubrication to the crank or pistons, that comes from the oil in your gas. It may be the case that you need to check your transmission fluid level but I don't think you can diagnosis it through revving the bike. I have seen lots of bad advice (and lots of good to be fair) given on Facebook groups for the sake of entertaining themselves. Just be careful what you listen to. When in doubt get yourself a leak down tester and check for air leaks, then do plug chops to test jetting. Hard to blow up a bike when these are good, easy to if they're not. You're not talking about the rattle for the kicker are you?
