Electrical problem

Ok guys.   Need some help.   Bought a 02 shee for a fixer upper.   Managed to get it running pretty good overall.  Except one small problem. When i hit the front brake it cuts the igniition out while riding.   If its just sitting idleing and i hit the front brake it doesnt cause the problem.  Only when its rolling.  The front lever does have the switch for the brake light.   But the brake light doesnt light up when pulled.    The rear brake does work the light as its suppose to though.    Just dont understand whats going on.    Im assuming its grounded out somewhere causing the ignition to cut out.   Any help would be greatly appreciated

I hate electrical. If it were me, I would seriously just eliminate everything except for what you need for the bike to run and just get a cut harness from Kory at Kompulsive concepts.  That's what I did for mine, very minimal wiring and a relocated cdi.  Almost no wires on the bike. But depends on weather you want all that stuff on ur bike or not.  Id check your wire harness, see how everything looks

Yeah thats probably what im gonna end up doing.   All i want is a kill switch no keyswitch and 2 headlights.  Highbeam only and no brake light .    Im just wondering if im correct about the switch wiring shorted out to the fram somewhere and jacking up the voltage to my ignition

good idea.  you can get a cut harness from Kory for like 40 bucks or so then get a cdi relocation bracket.  Should be able to eliminate that rats nest for 60 bucks or so! lol

Sounds good man.   I have found another problem while going threw this bike and freshening it up.   The right side cylinder wont fire everytime like it should.  To match the left side at idle.   But as soon as i give it just a tiny bit of fuel it clears up and does great.   Ive been threw the carbs a 100 times cleaning them and syncing them.   You name it.   So i decided to pull the reeds out and check them.   Both sides need replaced they are very very think.   But one of them on the right side has a pretty good chunk missing from it and will not close all the way.    Could that be whats causing that cylinder to not idle properly?
