locogato11283
It's not that bad. Take the intake off and the reeds out. Stuff some paper towels in the intake behind the piston. Line the inside of the intake with grease (and edges around paper towel). Put grease on the drill bit before drilling. Put grease on the tap before tapping. Screw in barb fitting for pump. Mark fitting flush to intake wall. Pull fitting out and cut to mark (as not to hang into the intake).Clean all grease out of intake. Pull rag out. Clean well. Put some 1211 on barb fitting and put in and tighten. So much easier just leaving the reeds in.

I'm guessing the grease is to catch the metal shavings..And if I leave the reeds in, how would I see anything?Sent from my LG-D722 using Tapatalk
sleeper06
As explained reeds out with a paper towel is a good start. I usually ask one of my friends to run the vacuum while I drill n tap it takes the risks away big time.

justin_smallwood
All I can say is God is good....my cylinders already had holes drilled from the previous owner...not sure why but both intakes had holes drilled in....and the one I unscrewed fit my barb perfect.. Couldn't ask for anything better...Sent from my LG-D722 using Tapatalk

Less likely for the pulse line to get kinked and burn down the motor from lack of fuel.. jmo
