trickedcarbine
Check for air leaks, make sure the petcock is flowing good to both carbs, and make sure the needle and seats on both carbs are flowing. Ultimately I'm leaning toward an air leak.

Ultimately I'm leaning toward an air leak. I do have a an annoying transmission leak. I'm guessing that would cause an air leak.. In the mean time can u tell me where these two extra o rings go...looks like they have to do with the spark plug but I don't we where...Sent from my LG-D722 using Tapatalk
trickedcarbine
Transmission and crank case are seperate. Totally different leaks. As far as o ring placement, is that a pro design head?

trickedcarbine
Pretty sure those go in the top plate on the under side. Figure out if there's an air leak. They'll melt motors down.

I have those already in...these are quite smaller than the ones u are referring to..I won't worry about em...and ok I'll check for the air leakSent from my LG-D722 using Tapatalk

Left side edge is faded while the right side is jet black... Sent from my LG-D722 using Tapatalk I would say it's a little lean. But the left side is washed from coolant imo.. look at the front stud, from the timing edge of the cyl to the water jacket is black from exhaust from a blown oring or a cracked oring land in the dome itself causing it to pull water on the intake stroke.. jmo

Worked well. No issuesSent from my LG-D722 using Tapatalk
IceracerX
Never use silicone, rtv, or any type of 'glue' on o rings. A little Vasoline or even grease will hold the o ring in place.

Tedder
I really like the spray on CRC white lithium grease for holding the orings. Once the carrier has dried off they stick in place pretty well.
