justin_smallwood
Hello...can anyone tell me what you see as far as the difference in piston color means? Left side edge is faded while the right side is jet black... Sent from my LG-D722 using Tapatalk
hicksons
The carbs can be a little out of sync givin one cyl more fuel to burn ,do both fattys ping the same how about the smoke out back Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
justin_smallwood
have you checked compression on both cylinders before disassembly? are both plugs the same color? Could be that one cyl is lower on compression or could be that you have an air leak or weak spark. ect...I didn't....was doing a simple oring change and noticed it...still runs great and spark plugs are the same colorSent from my LG-D722 using Tapatalk

ginger
get yourself a carb sync tool, make it run even on both cylinders, and techniqually you get more power as both cylinders are then running the same vs one holding the other back a little.

Have no idea how I got that. I'm guessing dragging at a track some time ago that had large clunks of clay and rocks. At idle it definitely has less smoke and ping than the good pipe side. While revving, they both feel the same. So would this play a role in the discoloration?Sent from my LG-D722 using Tapatalk

ginger
i would play part of the roll, but i would think the dented side would be the blacker side.

trickedcarbine
Has it ever backed out spark plugs?
justin_smallwood
Has it ever backed out spark plugs?Sure does...use to do it quite often...then i thought maybe I wasn't tightening them enough...haven't in some time now . I know that has to do with detonation. I run 93 cause my compression not over 150...unless I had a junk tester..Sent from my LG-D722 using Tapatalk
