spurdy
That's a first gear launch and you can see the roost shift to second. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
STRIBZ
Nice mate!, i thought shearer came on real late and revved out longer? thought shearers and CPI liked a bigger ex port?
spurdy
I ran both on my dune ported motor. It is an aggressive dune port geared more towards a high rpm motor but that's what it sounded like you wanted. But you can ask many on here how that motor runs for a duner in the trails and across the open dunes. I wouldn't change anything with it and likely couldn't build another like it. rubberneck
I prefer my cpi over my shearers but have never tried snipers. If i was only racing i probably would have stuck with the shearer. They pull harder at the top but i felt the cpi were a much better all around pipe. The cpi were way better if you had to get out of the throttle and then get back in it. With the shearers it seemed llike once you come off the power you are clutching or down shifting to get anything back. I ran them on a 421 cub and 2 different 4 mill dune ported motors

I checked but its been about 7 years and im not positive. i do have a serval top end sitting around i had planned on throwing on but just never have and at this point most likely never will. STRIBZ
No worries, thanks anyway. may slap on some SLP pipes and gear for them, either stick with the 15 or maybe
ClaudeMachining
Green is SLPRed is ShearerBlue is Sniper On a LP, cleaned port, 35mm, +5 or +6 I think SLP won.
ginger
slp run really well, but the power comes in a lot lower in the RPM range and falls off faster.
