First mods?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, this is my first "race atv" or really the only atv I reaaally like. I am coming from a 2013 Grizzly 350 and now ride a 2000 Yamaha Banshee.

After taking it up to some trails on memorial day weekend, riding it around my property, and riding this fourth, it's pretty rough compared to my old ride. This is really my only experience with race ATVs except for when i was a kid, I had a raptor 90 when I was around 3. From what I remember, I had that atv on the same trails many years ago, and I dont remember it being this rough.

Anyways, I am looking for some shocks for trail riding in gravel/rocky areas with mud in some parts and I'm hoping for some guidance for any other things I should do. I ordered front fenders that aren't cut so I don't drenched in mud already, but I am open to more suggestions

I was also wondering if there is some sort of parking brake accessory? On my banshee it does not have one so I am unsure if the PO took it off or they don't come with one.

Also looking for a OEM graphics set, so if someone could point me to a place to buy, that would be great. Thanks!

parking brakes were garbage on them.  99% of everyone blocks them off if they ever had them.  i have never had a banshee with one.

get yourself some +2+1 a arms, and some shocks that are valved for your weight, the a arms, and the trails.  the cheapest i have found most of the time are works brand.  i run a stock rear shock, as it is dual adjustable and can get it semi dialed in some for your riding.

Yeah ditch that stock banshee suspension all of it is junk. I used to always throw money into the motor first, and never touch the suspension. After finally upgrading to better than stock aarms, shocks, swing arm, and axle. I said to myself "why didn't I do this year's ago?" It was seriously the best upgrades ever. I will for now on always will upgrade the suspension first on any quad I buy or build. I am doing that to my 250r right now.
