hotrodbanshee Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 (edited) Looking to get a 4mil crank. Choices I'm looking at is Hotrods, weisco, or hjr. Heard there all made overseas. Anyone better quality than the other? Thanks Edited June 16, 2017 by hotrodbanshee Quote
spurdy Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 HJR doesn't make a crank. It is just a crank that kevin buys and welds and maybe puts bearings on. Not sure what crank he uses now. Probably ok with either a hotrods or weisco. They're probably all from the same place anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
jeremyshee01 Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 Never use a wiseco crank had plenty of them shit the bed in my bikes. I have seen lately that they're "new and improved"but I wouldn't trust them myself. Hot rods is good and don't know what one he uses but I've had a vitos crank that still is going good after 4 years. jeremyshee01 Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 Ya, until I learned of banshee hq I thought wiseco was one of my only options. They have great pistons but their cranks went out in my cr, kx, and yz's. Never used one in a shee but I assume it wouldn't be any differentSent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk Quote

Wait, did you call me a bang head because I couldn't make sense of a sentence that had no punctuation? If so, you can go fuck yourself. I've got no time to educate folks in mechanics when they can't string a sentence together. If not, peace out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Ayesully810 Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 Uhhh The emoji wasnt directed at u cheif. It was about ny comment about it being a run on sentence Quote
spurdy Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 Lol! No worries. It didn't show up as an emoji. It showed up as "banghead". I see your point now. I just don't have time to try to decipher through someone's run on sentences and try to figure out what the REALLY mean. Guessing we're on the same page. hotrodbanshee Posted June 16, 2017 Author Report Posted June 16, 2017 Is there much difference in reliability running max load bearing just run the bearings that come on the hot rods crank? Quote
ginger Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 i have one of the silver rod vito's in mine, still running good. Quote
Chukkinsod Posted June 17, 2017 Report Posted June 17, 2017 Do a search on Maxload bearing above...many topics on them and TZ as well. Will answer many of your questions on difference and why or why not to use Quote
