What do you mean by air leaks? I have 360 jet size in there. Do you think that is too big and I should try a 280?
ginger
by air leaks, meaning the motor could be sucking air, check that your carb boots arent riped. that intake gaskets are good, ever base gaskets, or pressure test it. there is a thread on how to do that with simple home depot stuff. Schweet97Z
360 is big for a stock bike with pipes. 27.5 pilot. Needles on middle clip. 270-310 I'd say for your main but you will need to play with thatSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
gusto
What VF reed? If its a 4 try a 30 pilot. Is it stroked? 360 main sounds big for a stock stroke unless its really ported up.

Also when trying to hit the powerband while driving it backfires. Do you guys think it's the CDI?? Tested the coil and its fine I'm maybe thinking it's that? gusto
Definitely could be the cdi. So it was running better with the other jet? It might be jetting then. You need to check out how to make a leak down tester and do that first.
ginger
i have heard of being to lean causing backfiring. quick question, how clean is your air filter. I had midrange issues at one point because i had an outerwear go bad, and it was like putting a bag over the air cleaner.
