highcomp26
Is it better to use the billet drive gear vs the plastic one? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
spurdy
Is it better to use the billet drive gear vs the plastic one? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk I've never had a plastic one break. But it is like everything else, if you strengthen one part and something happens it just makes something else the next weakest link to fail. spurdy
Is there any down side to going with the billet?Sent from my SM-N920V using TapatalkI have a billet in one motor and plastic in the other two. Honestly, no preference. My son had a bolt out of the back of his billet basket come out and bounce around. It broke the water pump gear. I suppose if it was billet, it maybe could have damaged the drive gear on the crank shaft or bent the water pump shaft or damage the clutch cover. Canadianshee
I'd look at all the options that are out there and contact the makers of the parts you are looking to replace. I went with everything that Mull Eng has to offer for the banshee. Out of the three companies I contacted only two responded, Mull and Chariot Performance regarding water pump parts, so purchase lots of their products.
