95prerunner
I was reading the posts about the racelogic porting. you guys have convinced me Iam going to order it on monday. One question will I have to use a higher octane fuel, I run premium 91 now. I have 21cc domes,FMF fattys, carbon fiber reeds, and Iam going to rejet with pro-tec performance jets 410s. The jet is big but the needle is designed different, it is shorter. thanks for any info. I can't wait

dirtbike killer
Your psi is what you go off for the type of gas to run, and porting will lower your psi. Most of the time you want to go to smaller domes to offset this.
MULLET~BOY
douse the race logic kit tell you any thing about the transpher ports or the exughst becouse that is where most of the power is gained when porting a motor
erbilabuc
douse the race logic kit tell you any thing about the transpher ports or the exughst becouse that is where most of the power is gained when porting a motor just the intake and exhaust window, its the only thing it gives the templates for. This is not supposed to be an all out full drag port job. The guy at race logic told me this is the type of porting you want if you want power and reliability. MULLET~BOY
i would love to see how a dyno from befor and after like if you had a stock set of cylinders and threw the ported ones right on so it would be acurate just curiose on how much power is gained by the porting couse i haev always been told its hard to gain much power withought getting into the transphers just wondering how much power do you think it increesed was it like putting pipes on ? Oilsmoke
Jethro Just roughing up the intakes, Narrowing the center bridge alittle, knife edge the transfers dividers and Polishing the exhaust port without cutting the windows one bit will make a big difference in the shee powerband personality. 95prerunner
hey erbilabuc do you think I should port then bore or bore then port. The bores are pretty bad but will clean up going 30 over.
Oilsmoke
Port than Bore.
erbilabuc
what oil smoke said. Your situation is perfect in case you gouge the cylinder in a mistake . port then bore
SickAssDMCBanshee
Thanx for the great info. Since I decided to keep my shee and not sell and get a YFZ 450. I'm going to do what I can to make my shee more enjoyable. I'll tear it down and try this for sure, after I finish my suspension set up so I can get a handle on what I've already done to the Shee.
