ClaudeMachining
Hi, i'm doing an exhaust clamp and i'm looking for high temp silicon tubing with 1" ID. I already got tubing from McMasterCar, but it's only rated 400F (the maximum they got) and i'm not sure if it's enough. Any help finding higner rated tubing??? Thx. NB: the new clamp will be tits and 100% leak free!

ClaudeMachining
I've heard hydraulic hose works. But to be honest I always order mine from Toomey. Yeah, but they tend to crack and they are too thick for what i want to do. By now, i find some 500F rated but they dont go beyond 7/8" ID or they sell it by 100 feets long... Keno
Pretty sure everyone uses standard silicone heater hose. Like Flexfab 5526
ClaudeMachining
Those like the fast have are easy to get. But they have more than 1/8 wall. I want 1" id and 1.25od

JUSTWANNARACE
The hardest thing about the billet clamps is the fitment and trying to get them in all the way. I think a 2 piece clamp with a step from front to rear would work great. Slide the hose on, get the pipes fitted, then bolt on the 2 piece clamp to sucure.. jmo Edited May 5, 2017 by JUSTWANNARACE

My clamp got dual inner diameter with a nice round transition. Thats why im able to use a thiner tube. You will have a right and a left clamp. I'm in my bath right now, I'll make you a drawing later to be sure we understand each other. ClaudeMachining
Look like this. I don't need a thick walled rubber, that's why I don't want to use the 'common' one. Envoyé de mon SM-G935W8 en utilisant Tapatalk
ClaudeMachining
Working perfectly!! I hope the 390F rated hose will work. I'm not looking for a hose to work at least one season.
