Columbus350
Ok so mods are 4mill crank Ported cylinder Cool head 28mm pwk CPI pipes Chariot billet intake with crossover V-force 4 Don't know pistons just bought ? Compression is at 148-150 It has oem key and timing plate set at 0 degree .....question is I'm getting a chariot plate can I advance it +4 and be ok on 91 pump with my mods????? Pros chime in thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited May 2, 2017 by Columbus350
ClaudeMachining
Usually, +4 is pretty safe for any setup. You are close to the edge on pump gas at 150psi. So yes, crank it to +4. But I'm not a pro, someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Envoyé de mon SM-G935W8 en utilisant Tapatalk
LukeSandiefer
I'm no pro, but you can definitely run pump 91 octane with around 150 lbs of compression and +4 timing. It's a good mod to boost and support your other mods. Almost all the engine builders will recommend it.
bigweav81
Any idea on your porting? Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk
Columbus350
I should be good for pump gas I read that 165 PSI is the limit, as far as my porting I was told it was a trail Port but by the looks of it A 12-year-old could have ported my cylinder because there is Nick's and gouges here and there , but then again I've never seen a professional banshee cylinder ported , so I don't know what to compare to comparing it to a. Very familiar to me four stroke ported head does not look very clean I should have taken pictures, but overall it looks decent I wish I could get more info OK so it sounds like I will be OK running 4° extra Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited May 2, 2017 by Columbus350
trickedcarbine
Static is more like a rough guide. But if a fella does enough of a particular combo, they can tell what is what by using static compression, but it takes experience. Not just a magical number. That said, what's the full motor combo? All specs?

All specs? like I said I just picked this bike up , wish I could say I built the engine but I didn't. Don't know what domes it has. Or what compression pistons are, or squish all The specs I do know or listed above and the compression test results . So what would you say would be the safe thing to do leave it on stock degree until I do my next top end build , or turn it up now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ClaudeMachining
Put it at +4 and be done with it. Envoyé de mon SM-G935W8 en utilisant Tapatalk

Also is the exhaust port opened up? But if its stock cyl , 4mm making 165 psi and the exhaust is ported, you may need to be running highER octane.

Columbus350
Also i don't want to pull head until it's time for rebuild , The last owner was running it on pump fuel .. from the info I've gathered looks like I'll be all right cranking it up 4+ I'll listen real good make sure there's no pinging or anything, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
bigweav81
Is it a stock/ machined head? Maybe I overlooked that part? Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk

trickedcarbine
Just give it a little timing at a time and make sure it's got fresh fuel.
