Rite size Carbs ?

Recommended Posts

Running standard 64mm bore

4mil long rod stroker crank

(373cc)

Vforce 4 reeds

Pro design cool head with 19cc domes

And porting

What carbs would work well ?

Thinking 36mm ?

There is no correct answer to the question you propose.

A stock carb set up properly can support a stock cyl 4m engine.

Many different sized carbs will work well.

Odd to come ask random people on the Internet

Why on earth would it be odd to ask people on the internet ?

This has to be the biggest benefit of the Internet ....To share knowledge and ask people that have already done a similar thing in the past?

Asphalt and not sure on the porting specs as the pipe guy is doing the porting ...

Pipe guy should be able to answer you. But IMO, some 35mm PWK's would be where I'd start. With wide open asphalt riding you'll rarely miss the little bit of grunt right off idle that small carbs like the stockers would provide.

Most importantly I should have mentioned this banshee motor is going into a 2 wheeler track bike

It will run no airbox and full custom expansion pipes

I'm sure the Std 26mm carbs will hold it back a bit ?

Considering the last info provided, 26 would likely be too small.

The missing info is why I said there was no way to give a correct answer.

However, you ask an answer to a question on a project that hasn't been done before with custom pipes to a bunch of folks that aren't involved???? There is no right answer still. When new or custom application pipes are done, the motor is typically tuned/set up on a dyno to learn what works best.

Because you have a guy building a set of pipes and porting.

There literally is no better person to ask them that.

Everyone else is just guessing. He should know exactly what his port and pipe combo work best with

OP, are you a member on the RZ/RD forums? Don't let folks make you feel like this is an odd build. There are tons of RZ/RD builds out there that have adapted banshee parts. There is plenty of info out there, but you gotta be looking in the right spot. If I were you, I'd venture over there and do some searching. Your combo is quite common.

If he can't offer that then I'd question his pipes and porting.
