Reputable Shops that promod and bearing mod the shift drum?

I guess I must be missing something. Putting a motor together is the easy part, that takes an hour. It's the porting and everything else that takes the time.

Yeah, I know the porting is what takes time.

Did you check with HJR, Powerline, etc? Carl isn't the only builder on here

 

I'm not messing with HJR.

I haven't checked with Powerline.

I've sourced a promod from Joe Molinari, just waiting on his quote.

nastyracing is offering to sell me his sleeper promod trans. 

 

Just buy a stock stroke serval or driveline top end, save on porting for now.

 

I'm building this 97 for three reasons.

1.) Cam at Redline has my 2002 motor and is building me a Serval.  I might not get the Serval back by the 19th of May, install it, shake it down and load it on the trailer on the 25th for memorial Weekend in Pismo.

2.) I just bought this 97 with a blown top end for a steal.  So, I was hoping to just build a stock stroke mid-range play port motor with a trued/welded crank and a proper promod trans by the 19th.  So if the Serval is late, so be it. I'd drop this play motor in my 2002 frame and run it Memorial Weekend.

3.) Ultimately this play port 350 is going into the 97 for my sons to ride.  They're already riding their uncle's raptor 700.

Yeah, I texted Cam at Redline and told him to take his time building my Serval.

 

This Powerline play motor is going into the built 2002 chassis for the time being.

I've got more money in suspension and handling mods on the 2002 chassis than 95% of BHQ'ers put into three motors...

so you have over 10K into suspension? what you running?

Lets see this new ride.

 

I pick the 97 up this evening.

The clown relisted it on CL using the previous owner's pictures.

It needs to be cleaned up.

But I will have some parts for sale.

Nice pickup! Whats the pipes on it? Nice deal on some dune edition shocks right now on FB, would be a nice upgrade.

I think FMF Fatty's with spark arrested turbine core FMF silencers of some sort.

I'll know more Friday.

 

The stock carbs w/idle screws and the stock air box will be for sale.

 

Thanks for the tip on the shocks.

I'm not looking to spend any money on it right now.
