rdlsz24
I recently picked up a non running 01 Banshee on the cheap. Turns out it has no spark and the stator failed the test. I bought a used stator for it (not OEM) and the wiring looks different from the stator I am replacing and anything I can find online. Here are the stock connections. Pretty normal Here is the wiring on the replacement stator. The large plug seems more or less the same, but it what is throwing me off is the brown wire split off the yellow wire, and then instead of just having a black wire, there are black and white wires going to the same small plug. Supposedly the quad this came from had an old school Baja light setup. I've researched the DC conversion and this doesn't seem to match that. Any ideas? I'm trying to use it in a bone stock 01. Keno
Stator is probably a 200w type with 2 lighting circuits that are being bridged together. Brown wire is just to plug more lights in. Just tape it up or cut out off.
rdlsz24
Cool thanks for the reply. I didn't realize there were dual lighting coils. Makes senses though. I will try it. Rob
