Beast49
What.... You're from Pipestone? Where the fuck are you planning on running a 150hp banshee? These aren't trail motors...... You aren't going to be running one of these on fire roads I don't ever ride around here. I take trips down to lsok or Pismo. locogato11283
LOL.. 150HP motor on race gas cannot be ridden in the dunes reliably. You know how I know? Because I've done it. You will see coolant temps way over 200 degrees after only a few minutes of riding it. What you're trying to do can't be done reliably. RagunCajun
At what point you can't dune due to cooling issues? Is it the DM jugs water jacket design or a combo of other things. I find that interesting.

I find that interesting. I'm not technically inclined enough to talk about water jacket sizes, but what I do know is that on race gas they get hot as fuck, fast. You're looking at a heat soaked motor after a couple passes on the drag strip. There's no way you're going to be "duning" one.
RagunCajun
I thought the tears from the people such a motor would beat would cool it off.
guns4children
If you want to dune with 150+ HP just get one of the 1000cc 4x4s and add a turbo.
guns4children
Pretty much... Buy a rzr and turbo it. Might start on fire but at least it'll run for a little bit Those new 1000 turbos are nasty. Like 160 HP. To bed they are 30 grand.
guns4children
They are only 25K. 168hp from the factory is nice, but might only get 1 month of riding with all the recalls and do not ride that polaris will have to do.I'll be hitting you up if I ever go to buy one. You always find the good deals. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
guns4children
Dang just looked they are 25. I dunno why I remember them being 30.
guns4children
I would not suggest buying a turbo rzr. So many issues with them. Yeah screw the RZR I want the canam.
trickedcarbine
Dang just looked they are 25. I dunno why I remember them being 30.Buy an old mini truck like a Ranger. Install a v8, long travel from camburg, and jump higher, go faster, and be happier for less money.
kawa110
^^^and have heating and a/c.... My lifted truck is 1/3 price of a rzr, has 5 seats, heating, a/c. I can roll windows up and stay out of dust... Don't need a trailer Can drive it on the street. Edited April 11, 2017 by kawa110
trickedcarbine
Too long. 190" long it was too much for trails A baja long travel truck might be great out in the dunes, but it wouldn't be fun the the trails. There is no vehicle on the market that competes with a SXS in versatile. Guess it depends on the state. We've got plenty of two track trails. And most of our Atv trails aren't wide enough for SxS's here.
kawa110
The new sxs are about the same width as a mini truck---ranger or toyota

Just have Thacker put a Composite T999er Grade Aluminum-unobtanium Specially Modified Radiator and High Performance 6969 CFM AC/DC 47v Hybrid Fan on it. Duh!
