dalegoldston
Just installed a serval. Old shit never did this. I'm at Little Sahara here in ok. First blew the top hose, sounded like a shotgun. Fixed that went back out noticed steam now the back hose on my cool head was expanded like a Ballon. Do servals run that hot? Why did the over flow not blow coolant?
camp0429
If its building that much pressure I would try switching the radiator caps and see what happens
locogato11283
Water pump working correctly? You might pull the cover and make sure it's not melted.
dalegoldston
I'll check that. Think I can find a new cap here at the dunes? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
trickedcarbine
Wow... Make sure the motor isn't cooked. Compression test and definitely take a peek at the pump. Then verify the jets are adequate and it's not lean. Check for air leaks, does it idle high or slow to return to idle? It shouldn't be that hot. dalegoldston
Just had it jetted on a dyno. It was fine before I swapped to the serval cylinders. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

dalegoldston
Well technically the carbs were jetted. So I'm pretty confident it's good on that. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
locogato11283
Not necessarily true. A dyno is a tuning tool but that doesn't mean it'll be the same in the real world. I bet you're lean.
dalegoldston
Well that sucks if I fried my shit. I thought the dyno put that on dead nuts not just close. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk A dyno can get you close, but the sand puts a huge load on the motor, which is different than the load from the dyno. What carbs and jetting? dalegoldston
Single 35 Pwk. 210 main I believe is what he said. Not sure about the pilot. I didn't ask but should have.
locogato11283
Fuck, I have zero experience with a single carb setup...
dalegoldston
Maybe it was the same for the dyno guy. I'll pull the plugs in the morning and look. Does that do any good if not looking at them from a plug chop?
dalegoldston
I think you have an issue if your setup only made 50 which is less than your old stock cylinders made.I was thinking that as well. But have no clue as what could be wrong. Unless it was with the dyno.
