dinger_1970
Hello all, I have a problem with the bike. We went to Glamis dunes last year and my shee ran great all week. Took it home and it sat for about 6 months. We then took it to Sand Mountain and it would start and idle fine but once I throttle up, it would just bog down. It will rev up and sound good with no load but with load it has no power. I have tried new plugs, took carbs apart and rebuilt them. Cleaned out all old fuel from the tank. But same problem. Compression is 150 psi. removed reeds they are fine. I even removed flywheel and checked the key way. I then install a different set of carbs with same results. I have always run 91 fuel with Yamalube mixed at 32:1. The TORS and parking brake has been removed also. I am beating my head against a wall on this one. I am leaning to a electrical problem. Has anyone ran into this problem? Thanks
rjdgriff
Try to swap cdi or coil with a buddy's bike (if available) or maybe stator if that fails. Timing still good? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Keno
You said it sat for 6 months. Any chance of a mouse nest in pipe? Also does it roll easily in neutral and in gear with the clutch pulled? Petcock clean? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

I'm kinda leaning towards cdi. Typically the coil either works or not at all. Have you checked your pickup gap at the flywheel?
