Dholm Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 Hi guys, looking for some input on jetting, banshee was running good, then put in vf4's,had the vf3's. I did read about ppl having to reject after adding these, seems to hesitate messed around with air screws ,seems to run a lot better when I am only about a half turn out, thinking I am too lean and I need to increase pilot jet,it's a 25, main is a 240. 2005 banshee t5's k&n pods and the vf4's. I'm at 4500 above sea level. Thanks Quote
Ayesully810 Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 usually with switching to 4s you gotta jump a pilot size from what ive read. Quote
Ducman Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 With T5-s and K&N pods you should be at least a 300 main and 27.5 pilots Quote
special06shee Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 (edited) Being your pretty high in elevation id try a 270-280 main and 27.5 pilot. Edited February 28, 2017 by special06shee Quote
Dholm Posted March 1, 2017 Author Report Posted March 1, 2017 Thanks for the replies guys!! Yeah I also thought the 240's seemed small. It always seemed to run good before I put the vf4's in, I went to the shop tried to get 27.5 , they didn't have them, but they did have some 30's I thought what the hell so I put them in and bike is running a lot better now. I did order the 27.5's online and a 260 and 270 main so we will see how it does when I test those mains out! I guess I am gonna have to go out to the desert to do testing since the asshole up the street likes to call the cops on me! Quote
Dholm Posted March 9, 2017 Author Report Posted March 9, 2017 got new jets in 270 main and 27.5 pilot. Took out for a ride yesterday , ran great although it was a little muddy! Was also to find a nice straight gravel road so I did a plug chop, everything looks good. Whenever I would get into 6th wot before the new jets it would kinda sputter, the bigger jet seemed to help with this problem.thanks for the help guys!! Quote
Basketcasebanshee Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 Hi everyone, first time poster and need a point in the right direction. My brothers dumped a 06 banshee at my place that grenaded. Resleeved it myself and bore it out 0.001 over, v-force reeds, fmf fatty's and pwr core 2 mufflers, k&n filter no lid, stock carbs, sea level and about 70-90F it's got the stock pilot and a 380 main w/ the needle on 2nd of 6 from the blunt. Got it idling ok but it leans out on a blip of throttle and takes a while to come down. Anyone got an idea where I can start to jet from? Quote
