jayzx10r
Stock bore, 4mil, dune port, Fatty's... riding at sea level.I run 35PWK's with a 158 main, CEL needle in the middle. The carburation is great on 45º mornings, not so good at 85º.Does anyone have specs on jetting changes relative to temp changes? Thanks, Jay. Strm Trpr
Is it sluggish because it's too rich when it's 85*? If so, you can try raising the needle clip to the second notch from blunt end to lower the needle into the needle jet effectively leaning out the mid-range and top end. Next, if off idle is sluggish and your pilot is spot on you can try turning the air screws out to lean out the off idle to mid-range response. If that doesn't give you the desired affect, I'd drop a pilot size and a main or two, but who the hell wants to open their carbs twice a day to rejet. I'm assuming you're in Glamis with those gnarly temp swings so opening carbs in the dunes is no way advisable unless you're up to it. sleeper06
What pilots you running? I would say one main size wouldn't hurt anything unless it's tuned to the gnats ass. You could try leaning the needle as stated because that's your easiest adjustment with minimal wrenching. If that doesn't work drop a main size
