-JD- Posted December 6, 2003 Report Share Posted December 6, 2003 Everytime i go riding and i hit a large amount of water or the banshee gets wet the carb wants to stick open. After about 10 minutes it will stop acting funny and return to normal. Has anyone alse had this problem? How do i fix this? Any help would be appreciated. fixitrod Posted December 6, 2003 Report Share Posted December 6, 2003 Everyone has had this problem. A few of us have spent many many hours working on the trouble. It is the carbs and not something else. They stick just a slight bit but make it rev to the moon. We have theories, but no fixes yet. Well, one fix, buy new carbs. That's what I did. tithead Posted December 8, 2003 Report Share Posted December 8, 2003 another think would be to lubericate your throtle cable with thin oil. that happened to me. because you going throo rivers the water may wash the oil out and because it 2 wires into 1 from the bars to the carbs they need to move easy so that the wire isnt stuck in its cable-cover causing the carbs to be open slightly Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
