Big Mike NY
Richard, don't build a turbo for the trails it will be a mistake on many levels, monetary wise and performance wise mainly. A peaky turbo will not make the kind of power where and when you need it. You need a a good 10 mil with the correct porting and carbs and pipes for the trails. A turbo will only benefit you if you were at the drag strip or shooting up dunes. What can you possibly do with 150-175 horsepower in the woods? And ask yourself how you are going to put that power successfully to the ground. Your going to need a long swing arm and I ride in the Catskills I know the terrain, your rideability will go to shit! A manageable 100 horsepower banshee with the right suspension and porting will out ride 175 horsepower banshee. By the time the turbo motor is going to spool up a naturally aspirated motor will be bike lengths ahead. Save your self a ton of money and headaches and build a 10 mil or a 521, but keep is naturally aspirated!!

ClaudeMachining
Always comical when people put straight cut gears in their list of mods... One day, i'll put down the numbers and show everyone if it's valuable or not.
sheerider11
Hmm. I put straight cut gears in my banshee. Did I make a mistake? I don't know. I don't touch my motor. I just put gas and ride it. Maybe. It hasn't been touched in a while. I'd be surprised if it starts with what's in the tank. 450 for life!! phillybuilt
Don't they come with straight cut gears? The transmission does, which was what I was referring to. Although now that I think back, he could be referring to straight cut drive gears from the crank to the clutch. Oops lol
