scotts96fast
I built a 4mm play/dune port this past summer. Why would the stickers on the silencers melt/burn? A tad lean? I have ran both Fatties and PC's pipes. Engine temp seems to be the same as my buddy's stock stroke with porting. Thanks.....
sheerider11
Do you have packing in them? It's still going to get hot. Are they actually burning up? Like shrivel and turn colors? Or just warp and fall off?
scotts96fast
I replaced the packing twice and the stickers still turn brown. I don't care about the stickers. I just know something isn't right after the 4mm build.
scotts96fast
They shrivel and turn colors.
sheerider11
Well stop putting stickers on there. It's an exhaust. What could you possibly want to advertise on there
scotts96fast
Lol... Will do So this is a common problem with bigger motors? The exhaust gases are just that much hotter.. It's just the basic fatty and PC stickers. Edited January 19, 2017 by scotts96fast
Ayesully810
I wouldnt say its a common problem. I would say its a natural thing that just happens from the motor producing heat. Is your motor doing anything else besides burning stickers that makes you think its not running right? Edit: you make the implication that something is wrong after the build because your stickers get hot. Thats why I ask Edited January 19, 2017 by Ayesully810
RagunCajun
It isn't common because people don't put stickers on exhaust.

RagunCajun
i want another yz250 but the idea of a ktm with electric start seems nice. But a used 98+ yz250 down here is sooooo much cheaper.
