WHITXX88
Just wanted to say hi! I've been looking at some posts for a few weeks now, trying to get my bike dialed in. Thanks for all of the help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
STRIBZ
Welcome to the site mate.. Nice bike..... pretty much looks like mine. What mods you done?
WHITXX88
4 mil crank, cool head,13degree cut 21cc domes, Triple port, 34pj carbs, lockout clutch. A few billet parts etc. I have gnarlys on it and ported stock reed cages as it sits in the garage right now. I have v-force 3s and some t5s that I'm going to mount soon. I'm kind of frustrated at the moment, I haven't been able to get it jetted correctly. It ran perfect and strong with the stock carbs, but I recently traded them for the 34mm, the jet combo I have now is 52 and 155. WHITXX88
They are 34 pjs, I believe they have the 48CEG needle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
WHITXX88
There is no bog off of idle when I punch it it revs fast, but it feels like the Power is much shorter lived than the stock carbs and less consistent. A few pops android flat spots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
WHITXX88
Im wondering if I should replace the reed cages with the VF3 before I start getting more jets and needles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
WHITXX88
Thanks for the article Jesse, I'm going install the VF3 and mount the T5s Tonight. trickedcarbine
They are 34 pjs, I believe they have the 48CEG needle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Screw the choke knob clockwise till it is all the way seated. Mark them so you can keep track of the amount of turns. Back them out 7 turns to 7 1/2 turns. Switch to a CGL needle.
locogato11283
You're likely just noticing the effect of the bigger carbs. Stock carbs are actually really good up to a 4mm motor.
WHITXX88
The parts guy doesn't know what I'm talking about, does anybody know what CEL or CGL would be called by Honda? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
WHITXX88
Ok Guys, I changed the spark plugs, installed the new reeds and cages, mounted the T5s, repacked the silencers, cut out new gaskets, I left the jetting alone but I adjusted the float height and changed the needle position to the top clip, the bike is now very fast and responsive, I still need to figure out the slight flat spot @ 3/4ths. The needle is CEG. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
