locogato11283 Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 I'm not saying they fucked up, but Snipers need fuel. Quote
Ayesully810 Posted January 6, 2017 Author Report Posted January 6, 2017 (edited) Could be, We spent 3 days testing different stuff on my motor and getting it dialed in so we didnt mess with more jetting variables even though the afr was coming in alright. Maybe this season we can test more. Edited January 6, 2017 by Ayesully810 Quote
trickedcarbine Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Thinking about picked up an extra set of pipes this winter to mess around with.. I have had shearers before in the past and Im looking into get some CPIs. How do these pipes compare to shearers as far as power delivery, when it hits etc. Little less rpm then Shearers, but a bit more grunt early on. Kind of a happy medium between your SLP and Shearers. 2 Quote
trickedcarbine Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 421 Driveline cylinders. This was done at driveline with lane and billNeed timing and compression? Throw fuel at it and give it a bit of both. 1 Quote
Ayesully810 Posted January 6, 2017 Author Report Posted January 6, 2017 We ran plus 5 timing for all 3. Both shearers and snipers could have used +6 for sure. We were at 170 or 175 psi one of those 2 on 110 Quote

gusto Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Heres the graph Tyler- Didnt have the afr pulls but if remember snipers were the leanest at 13:1 http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/187424-421-driveline-lp-w-slps/page-7 Were these oof Snipers or inframe? Quote
sleeper06 Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 I would say your blowdown is too low and possibly your time/area on ex port. 1 Quote
RagunCajun Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 The cylinders are NOT ported correct? If true, why not just ride the bike as is and discuss with whoever will port the juggs which pipe is better for your goal once ported. Then get those pipes. You may or may not like the pipes until you are ported but you'll have them ready. It also gives you time to maybe pick up a set used for a better deal although I prefer new. I discussed sniper, shearer and Cpi with my builder. Turns out shearer was best for what I do. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Turns out shearer was best for what I do. That's what everyone thinks, until they see the graph of Snipers overlaid with Shearers. Quote
RagunCajun Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 That's what I kept reading before I laid down the cash. I read and searched every thread I could find. I trust the supporting vendor who ported my juggs. I may experiment later in time with a set. Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Not to steal a thread. Making changes to my Redline ported 10 mill "trail" bike. What pipe. I have sb Shearer now. Thought about BB or snipers. Quote
RagunCajun Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Call redline and fine out. I just talked to him earlier about me going to snipers. Im staying with shearers. Booyah. Quote
