Ayesully810 Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Thinking about picked up an extra set of pipes this winter to mess around with.. I have had shearers before in the past and Im looking into get some CPIs. How do these pipes compare to shearers as far as power delivery, when it hits etc. Quote
RagunCajun Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Shearers come on later and pull longer in general on your average engine Quote
J-Madd Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Depends on the motor. I dynoed a 200* exhaust port 10 mil Cub and the BB CPIs came on sooner and pulled longer in the rpms. Quote
Ayesully810 Posted January 6, 2017 Author Report Posted January 6, 2017 Snipers. Those snipers sucked on my motor remember.. But I would have to actually ride them to make a full opinion on that. Thats just dyno numbers Quote

gusto Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 (edited) I thought i read years ago from SRP that Snipers shine on the cub high port cylinders? Maybe i am wrong. The set of Shearer's and CPI's in the FS section are in great shape. I wish there was more data with the snipers on DL and serval cylinders as well as 4 mil stockers. Ayesully810 Posted January 6, 2017 Author Report Posted January 6, 2017 I was thinking CPIs because it would seem like it would be a good in between of slps and shearers, Ill lose a little tq but will still pull longer but wont come on as late as shearers. Quote

locogato11283 Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 I've NEVER personally witnessed a set of Snipers NOT make more power and NOT look better doing it than CPI or Shearer. I'd have to see some charts, because Snipers have killed every other pipe we've put them against. I even know of at least one motor that the Snipers made more power than the out-frame pipes everyone thinks are the best. Quote
Ayesully810 Posted January 6, 2017 Author Report Posted January 6, 2017 Heres the graph Tyler- Didnt have the afr pulls but if remember snipers were the leanest at 13:1 http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/187424-421-driveline-lp-w-slps/page-7 Quote
