Schweet97Z
What spark plugs should be used with the setup? B8ES? I'm assuming non resistor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Schweet97Z
Found my answer. This is just for reference for anyone else who might be looking... B8ES if you running pump gas or B9ES if you are running race gas. Gap plugs down to .020"-.024" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sheerider11
Oh. I've been running bre8s for 2 years. I change plugs maybe 2 times a year.
Schweet97Z
Run non resistor plugs with the nology stuff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sheerider11
Run non resistor plugs with the nology stuff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk No. If someone changes.the plugs for me I will. But until the plugs need to come out I might. But I also have about 3 boxes of br8es. So I probably won't.
Schweet97Z
Whatever floats your boat then. The plug recommendation is from Cody @ FAST. I bought the setup from them years ago just couldn't remember if I ran the BR or B8ES. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I prefer the non resistor plugs as well, but will run whatever I have on hand. A dyna CDI needs resistor plugs, and honestly I didn't know about the Nology coil. I have one and don't remember what I ran on it either.
Schweet97Z
Straight from Nology's website.... Question: Do I have to use non-resistor spark plugs together with HotWires, and what will happen if I use resistor spark plugs? Answer: To take full advantage of the performance gain possible when using HotWires, non-resistor spark plugs are best. If for any reason resistor spark plugs must be used, performance gain is less, because the resistor is impeding the spark, however, performance will still increase. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Because of that theory (as you've mentioned) that there is a better spark with the non resistor plugs...is why I prefer them. That said, all of the exotic plugs are resistor. I don't know why that is. BR9EIX, BR9EG, and so on.

sheerider11
In all honesty, I think this coil is a scam. It helps a little bit. But really, how many nology coils are you seeing on any winning engines? I run it for the coil hot wires.
Schweet97Z
I agree it helps...but wouldn't call it a scam if it works. Easier start up and better throttle response is ok in my book. There is a lot of marketing In the link I posted but need to look past that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2004LEBanshee
They look fast so i run them.
sleeper06
I like them on trail machines. Note to whoever buys them . Your CDI needs to stay a minimum of 8-10 away or you will experience interference and will cause you to chase your tail with jetting
