Man-O-Steele
Hey guys im putting together another banshee and im noticing that with my ims pegs and the direct drive cover im having some clearance issues. ive ran these covers before but with stock pegs so just bending the pedal out of a bit and tweaking was no big deal. with the ims pegs its a little more crowded in there. as of right now the pedal is underneath the lock up cover and slightly depressing the pedal. i know i can adjust the pedal down but im looking for ideas to still have a comfortable pedal position. has anybody ran into this before? looking for creative ideas from you guys. i dont have much imagination for this stuff i guess. ill get pictures posted today
bluebanshee98
Your going to have to lower the pedal a little bit. Nothing crazy though. The pedal is going to press up against the cover and overtime will wear it out and destroy the cover. I used a peice of gas line, cut it in the middle to go over the top of the pedal where it hits the cover. One zip tie on each end to hold in place. Has worked great for me over the years. No bending of pedal
special06shee
Just grind the radius of the cover into the pedal to get your clearance. If i remember right youll have to grind about 3/8" off the pedal in the deepest cut.
hp2000
Put a washer in between the peg and the frame to space out the peg. that's what I did call it a day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
