arena314
I tried everything I messed with the carbs for over an hour and kicked and kicked and kicked. I cannot get my banshee to start cold unless I kick for hours or spray starting fluid in it then it starts 1st kick and after it warms up it will start first kick all day when warm. what could this be? it's driving me insane Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk

arena314
stock carbs. 280 mains with the stock 25 pilots. I had 30 pilots and it was the same way it will only start with starting fluid. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk

arena314
it has a boost bottle in it. and idk if the bowls are correct how can you tell? and would that cause the issue I'm having? sheerider11
The choke cross over tube.little black tube connecting the carbs. Make sure the slides are correct. There's a pic that shows the correct bowls on which carb. I think hoppedupandcutdown usually post it
sheerider11
The black tube is the crossover. The bowl with the brass BB in it goes on that carb with the plunger. The cut out in the slide faces the airbox Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
arena314
it has the choke crossover but not 100% if the bowls are on tbe right carbs Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
sheerider11
Are the slides in correct? And what's you're elevation? 25 is lean
arena314
I'm about 50 ft sea level. and yeah 25 is on the lean side but I was thinking 30 was rich so see what I can do with the 25 and if it ran better I'd go up to a 27.5 Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
arena314
think it could be a stator issue or do you think it's a carb issue? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
sleeper06
How's your compression ? What reeds do you have? Don't get stuck on what sounds lean or what other people run , if compression is good go bigger than a 30 pilot. If it won't start cold you don't have enouph pilot. Is the motor tight leakdown wise
arena314
has about 118 psi both sides which isn't bad and it has the stock reeds I actually just checked them bc one of the intake boots was cracked and needed replacing. I just got the quad not too long ago. was told it seized and had a top and bottom end rebuild. it seems like the motor was broken into and isn't old just the guy didn't take much care of the bike so I got it and did a tors delete cleaned and jetted the carbs and fixed the air leak. I was told I didn't need the tors delete with the idle screws so I didn't get one I dont think thats the issue though bc I ran my last banshee like that and it started 1st kick and idled all day Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
arena314
oh and after fixing the air leak I've ridden the bike multiple times. it runs good it's just that I can't get it started cold without carb spray.
