Bill did mine. The timing is 'as cast' but he did everything else (intake, exhaust, tranfer)

I was expecting about 85hp on pump. You got 75hp with 110... So i'm lucky if i got 70hp on mine, wich is far below what i expected.

Serval on pump gas are doing 85hp all day.

Exactly the reason why I'm going with a MX Port Redline 4mil Serval.

I need pump gas powah.

That's pretty awesome how early they come on. They need to make some big bore SLP's.

As for the 16/40 gearing recommendation, I'd be against that unless you have some small tires, I'd try 15/41 at most first.

I was thinking at starting at 15/41..

That would be pretty cool if SLP got a lot of feed back from a lot of people on here and did something to try and bring the RPMs up and still be able to make that amount of torque.

My box stock 4mil lp runs great. Stock carbs, fmf pipes and pump gas. I ride technical trails and dunes just fine. I think to many people chase numbers on bikes that just need to be riden.

I think your right. Im not hung up on the numbers at all. Im very pleased with this setup so far.  Its just fun to see the changes from different things that we tweak.

i totally disagree with your last statement.

Just because someone claims a certain number, dont mean shit. I PROMISE there are far more servals (and cubs for that matter) making low 70's then there are in the mid 80's.. everyone has a race mtr until they put it on a dyno

Good point made above. Check the dyno section on when the servals came out and what they were making.  I see no reason these cylinders will be making the same.

Kind of surprised at the snipers though, thought they would be making more, the graph is pretty disappointing compared to the shearers.  SLP tq graph is nuts compared to the other pipes.

I wonder what the HP DL cylinders would look like with the same mods?

I wondered the same.. I asked lane about that and he said that the peak numbers between the two are pretty close, the curves are just different.

Also, you are right. Lane showed me a graph of a serval motor that he tuned a while back, he thew the graph over top of mine and they were pretty different actaully, Peaked at like 68 and some change.

What tires and what type of riding?

20 gncc itps for dirt and im gunna work on a different set for the sand

riding type- dirt trails (not tight trails, wide) to some wide open play areas and some dunes.. dunes just in the fall and summer

exactly that though claude... ported... I think the LP's with some massaging will be in the same boat... still a new product and still plenty of "testing" and learning to be done...  im no porting pro but id bet with little it higher port timings to match a higher end pipe those numbers should increase significantly...

but i do agree with a lot on here... people chase numbers without looking at the curve which is the meat

I started with lp for a reason. We can go up, not down ;-)
