Some are controlled by an electronic servo and move according to RPM. But most are pneumatic. That means they use exhaust pressure to actuate. When pressure builds, the valve opens and similulates the exhaust port getting bigger. Almost like it goes from low timing trail type port to a higher duration drag port. You can tune them using spring pressure and some use bleeder jets. Kind of like a turbo wastegate.

Cheetos came casted solid like others. PV part in cyl has to be machined. Not all were machined. Also there's a lot more to DM than Cheeto and others than wats listed here

What else is to be known? Educate me

For sure. Serval, Cub, DM, DMX, Cougar, Caracal, Puma, Sphinx, Liger, etc... All with different bore & stroke combinations. Different stud lay outs, different spread, different deck heights, different exhaust flange just about anything you are willing to pay for and wait for they can do.

Have you seen any Cheetahs plated and un machined from CP without it being a DM? I tried to get one like that and Harry stated his were all machined. I thought he was doing all the finish work on PV's?
